SMS Opt-In & Messaging Policy
This page describes how PSCareFlow (PSP Software Solutions) sends SMS notifications, who receives them, and how to opt out.
Last updated: March 28, 2026
PSCareFlow sends SMS notifications exclusively to nurses, home health aides, and administrative staff employed or contracted by home health agencies that use the PSCareFlow platform. Messages are never sent to the general public and are never used for marketing purposes.
Recipients must have a verified account in the PSCareFlow application and must have explicitly opted in to receive SMS notifications by providing their mobile phone number and checking the SMS consent checkbox in their profile settings within the application.
Opt-in consent is collected in two ways:
A. During nurse account setup (by agency admin): When an agency administrator adds a nurse to the PSCareFlow platform and enters the nurse's mobile phone number, a consent checkbox is displayed with the following language:
SMS Consent: This nurse has provided their mobile number and consents to receive scheduling notifications, visit assignments, shift changes, appointment reminders, and account-related alerts via SMS from PSCareFlow. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. SMS Policy
B. Self-service by the nurse: Nurses can update their own profile settings within the PSCareFlow application at any time to grant or revoke SMS consent.
Consent is never assumed. A nurse's phone number can be stored in the system without SMS consent being granted. SMS messages are only sent when the consent checkbox is explicitly checked and saved.
PSCareFlow sends the following operational SMS messages only. No marketing, promotional, or advertising messages are ever sent:
- Visit assignment notifications (new patient visit assigned)
- Schedule changes (visit rescheduled or cancelled)
- Daily visit reminders
- Patient visit reminders (nurse en route notifications)
- Chart return alerts (chart sent back for correction)
- Credential expiration alerts (license, CPR, driver license)
- Missed visit alerts (supervisor notifications)
- Account-related notifications (password reset, security alerts)
Message frequency varies based on the recipient's work schedule and visit assignments. Active nurses typically receive 1–5 messages per working day. Messages are only sent when a scheduling or account event occurs that requires their attention.
